The stories in the Bible have the power to draw our attention, engage our emotions, connect us with others, and produce spiritual change in those who are willing to hear.

Many Muslims raised to recite the Qur’an only know parts of Bible stories. Engaging Worlds exists to translate scripture into Muslim languages to complete these stories and create pathways for spiritual growth.

The Fine Art of Sacred Storytelling:

How to Spiritually Transform a Community in 12 Steps

  • Step 1: Curate a Collection

    A series of scripture stories are selected for translation. Individually, each story reveals God’s purposes; together, they create a viable pathway for spiritual formation and growth.

  • Step 2: Choose a Community

    A recipient language group is selected by evaluating the need, identifying stakeholders, securing funding, and discerning God’s will.

  • Step 3: Mobilize a Team

    A multi-lingual project manager is recruited and matched with a certified translation consultant. The manager hires a team of local translators capable of achieving the project’s scope.

  • Step 4: Craft a Story

    The translation team interprets the scripture passage with the consultant's guidance. As their intimacy with the text grows, so does their ability to craft a clear, compelling story.

  • Step 5: Achieve Stability

    The translation team strives to refine the developing story. Eventually, a stable story text emerges that is faithful to the source, beautifully composed, and contextually relevant.

  • Step 6: Typeset and Print

    The story is meticulously and artistically typeset in the heart language of the recipient community. The story is printed when the typesetting is as captivating as the content.

  • Step 7: Test in Community

    The printed story is discussed in groups within the recipient community, with attention given to what resonates with them. Their feedback helps advance the sacred acceptability of the story.

  • Step 8: Edit for Accuracy

    A third-party editor is engaged to proofread and edit the text to guarantee spelling, punctuation, and grammatical correctness. Recommended edits are reviewed by the translation team.

  • Step 9: Typeset and Publish

    Additional typesetting is performed to capture edits and prepare the sacred story for publishing. A local publisher is contracted to publish the completed story for distribution.

  • Step 10: Distribute Discerningly

    The published story is released to a group of open-minded community leaders willing to participate in spiritual conversations. The lead translator plays a key role in identifying these frontrunners.

  • Step 11: Contemplate Together

    The group explores the sacred story in an immersive event encouraging empathetic engagement. The communal experience inspires vulnerability, spiritual insight, and a longing to know more.

  • Step 12: Transform Community

    As the group explores story after story, their hearts and minds are transformed by God. The longing to know more is united with a desire to guide others along a similar path of spiritual growth.
